Privacy Policy

PepDose AI is built to be private by default. The short version: your data belongs to your account and only your sign-in can access it — and your progress photos never leave your phone.

1What we collect

• Account identity: when you sign in with Apple or Google we receive your name and email address (with Sign in with Apple you can hide your real email behind Apple’s private relay). This is used only to identify your account.
• The data you enter: doses, compounds, schedules, injection sites, body profile, weight history, nutrition, hydration, sleep, workouts, side-effect notes, learning progress, settings and preferences — stored so it can sync between your devices (see section 2).
• Subscription status: to unlock and restore PepDose Pro, we use Apple’s App Store together with RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider. They process your purchase and receipt data and an app-specific user ID linked to your account, on our behalf, only to grant Pro access and restore it across your devices. Your payment details (card and billing info) are handled entirely by Apple — we never see them.

2Where your data lives

Your data is stored on your phone and synced to a private set of database rows tied to your account, hosted on Supabase (our backend provider) in the European Union (Ireland). Access is enforced at the database level: each account can only ever read and write its own rows, and all transfers are encrypted in transit. We do not look at your data except where strictly required to operate the service or by law.

3What never leaves your device

• Progress photos and your profile photo file
• Reminder/notification settings and any in-progress workout session

These are also erased from the phone if a different account signs in on it.

4Optional features that send data elsewhere

These only activate if you use them, and only send what is described:

• Meal Scan (part of PepDose Pro): sends the meal photo you pick to our Meal Scan service, which has it analyzed by our AI provider (Anthropic) to estimate its nutrition. The photo is processed in memory only — it is never stored by us, and Anthropic processes it under its commercial API terms (no training on your data). Only the photo is sent; no name, email or other account data goes with it.
• Apple Health: with your permission, the app reads steps, calories, sleep, weight and workouts to fill in your logs. Nothing is written back. Manage permissions in the Health app.
• Support email: when you tap “Report a Problem” or “Contact Support”, your mail app opens with a draft that includes the app version, an anonymous install ID (random, generated on your phone, linked to nothing) and your device’s operating system and version. You see the full email before deciding to send it.
• Export Report: generates a PDF on your device that you may choose to share. Sharing is entirely under your control.

5Deleting your data

• Profile → Delete Account permanently deletes your account and all synced data from our servers, and erases the App’s data on your phone. This is immediate and cannot be undone.
• Privacy Settings → Delete Data erases all synced data from our servers and the App’s data on this phone (including reminders), but keeps your account.
• Deleting the App from your phone removes local data but leaves your synced copy; sign back in on any device to access it or delete it, or email us to request deletion.

6Notifications

Reminders are local notifications, scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No push server is involved.

7Children

PepDose AI is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children.

8Changes

If this policy changes, the current version will always be available at this page, and the effective date above will be updated.
